60th International Universities Power Engineering Conference

BRUNEL UNIVERSITY OF LONDON | 2nd – 5th SEPTEMBER 2025

UPEC2025 took place at Brunel University of London on 2-5 September 2025. Thank you to all authors, speakers, reviewers, partners, and attendees who made it a success.

Delegates from 33 countries joined us at Brunel University of London for four days featuring two tutorials, 26 paper sessions, two panels, and four keynotes exploring the central theme "Crossing Energy Boundaries: Multi-Vector Solutions for a Carbon-Neutral Transition".

Technical visits at the National Energy System Operator (NESO) and UK Power Networks (UKPN) offered UPEC2025 attendees a glimpse into their operations. A London walking tour and afternoon tea at the Battle of Britain Bunker were also highly appreciated.

Thank you to our panellists Nagham Saeed, Sara Afifi, Charmalee Jayamaha (3 September) and Qasam Sultan, Tim Bailey, Pasan Pethiyagode, Theofilos Papadopoulos, Jamie Bright (4 September).

Tutorials were delivered on 2 September by Grazia Todeschini and Diptargha Chakravorty. Keynotes by Gareth Taylor, David Wyatt, Fathy Aboshady, and Lydia Malley complemented the technical programme.

UPEC2025 was officially accredited by The CPD Group, a globally recognised body for quality assurance in professional development. If you attended UPEC2025 and have not used the QR codes on-site to get your certificates with 6 hours CPD for conference participation, and 1 hour CPD for each tutorial attended, please get in touch at info@upec2025.com
